No developer needed. If you can install a WordPress plugin, you can do this.
Get the plugin onto your WordPress site.
Use the download link from your confirmation email (or the button on the confirmation page after you subscribe).
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the downloaded .zip file, and click Install Now.
Click Activate Plugin. WordPress will take you straight to the NicheChat Setup Wizard.
If you manage your site from the command line, WP-CLI works too:
Three short steps, right after activation.
Enter the API server URL from your email, your name and email address, your business name, your domain, and your industry.
Pick a plan (monthly or annual) and you'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout to start your free trial.
Once your subscription is confirmed, your widget activates automatically. Your credentials are also emailed to you as a backup.
This is what makes your assistant sound like your business instead of a generic bot. Find it under NicheChat → Configure AI.
A handful of questions specific to your industry — hours, services, specialties, and so on. While you type, NicheChat quietly scans your website in the background.
NicheChat shows you the pages it found on your site, with the most relevant ones already checked. Keep the ones you want the AI to learn from, or skip this step entirely.
NicheChat generates the instructions your AI will use, built from your answers and your website. You can read them, edit them directly, or regenerate — then save to activate.
Your dashboard (NicheChat → Dashboard) gives you a quick read on how things are going:
Total conversations, today's count, and the last 7 days — so you can see activity at a glance.
Confirms your connection is working and whether the widget is currently visible to visitors.
Your current plan and how many of your monthly sessions you've used.
One-click links to configuration, appearance, subscription, leads, and a live preview of your widget.
When your AI notices a visitor is ready to talk business, it shows them a short contact form automatically — no setup needed for that part.
Head to NicheChat → Leads to see everyone who's reached out, with unread ones flagged.
Email and phone number are encrypted. You'll need to verify with two-factor authentication before you can view them — this keeps visitor data safe even if your login is ever compromised.
Turn on email notifications so a new lead lands straight in your inbox, sent from your own business address.
